Invitation time

Invitations
Invites are being posted this week so we hope you"ll receive yours soon!

RSVP

If you'd like to RSVP to the wedding, please do so HERE. Please use the password from your invite.

There is a short questionnaire with the RSVP designed so that for International guests we can help make your experience in Galicia, Spain, the best possible.

What to wear
There isn't a strict dress code and in Spain it is considered unusual/bad to tell people what to wear to a wedding! In Spain, if the wedding is during the day in the Summer, then women wear short dresses but generally in the afternoon/evening/winter weddings, long dresses are worn. Don't feel you have to wear a long dress to our Wedding. Although the Bride will be wearing a long dress, the Bridesmaids dresses are short!  Men - it's a wedding so dress nice! Suit & tie if you like, tie off if you don't like. Just no jeans.
I found a blog written by an American couple living in Madrid that explains some etiquette on dress code and general advice about Spanish weddings. Ours will be a blend of cultures!: http://guiriguidetomadrid.com/2011/09/spanish-weddings-what-to-wear/

Gifts

Please do not feel obliged to buy us a gift, your presence on our wedding day is the most important gift that you could give us. Especially since most of you are travelling so far to be with us. However, for those of you who would like to buy us a gift, we have a wedding list at John Lewis, list number 557707 - please use the same password that is on the invite. The list doesn't open until 6 weeks before the wedding which is the 19th July. You can either pick something from the list or contribute to a voucher which will be used to buy some much needed furniture for our new home. We are also open to vouchers from Amazon.co.uk !

Accommodation

We have arranged some accommodation with family & friends as well as vacant flats locally. Before you book any accommodation, please complete the RSVP form and let us know if you are interested in taking up any free accommodation. This will be on a first in best dressed basis!

Alternatively, if you'd just prefer to stay in a hotel or B&B locally, here are some options for you:

Hotel Rustico Fonteverde

Small hotel near the centre of Cuntis - just down the road from Javi's bar which is a very good place to be and it has very reasonable rates, circa € 58  double per night (less for multiple nights). If you need help booking please let us know. http://hotelfonteverde.wordpress.com/

Termas de Cuntis
This is the biggest hotel in Cuntis and features a famous spa. Players from Real Madrid football team stay here regularly! It is however, a little on the pricey side but we are currently in negotiations to get a discounted rate. This hotel is also not far from Javi's bar. Take a look here: http://www.termasdecuntis.com/english/ and if interested, contact us for the rates.

Casa A Pedreira

This hotel is really nice, has a pool and lovely gardens and is a short drive or bike ride from Cuntis. You can hire bikes from reception to ride into town, take a short taxi or we can arrange transport. Rates are €99 for a double per night and rooms here are booking up fast. http://www.apedreira.com/index.php

Piriapolis Hostel

This is a Hostel in the centre of Cuntis. It is simply furnished but is clean and each room has an en-suite. The rates are also cheap at €35 per night for a double room and €25 for a single per night.
There is no website however, so if you are feeling up to speaking Spanish then call them on +34 986 54 8163 or just let us know and we can book it for you. Located here: https://plus.google.com/101229920683598218410/about?gl=uk&hl=en

If we haven't answered all of your questions for now, then please do contact us. We will update the blog with more information about the day closer to August so in the meantime, we hope you can make it!
